How to Plan Your Day to Day Activities Anywhere in The World to Save Some Extra Bucks?

Planning your days are as important as any other part of the trip. The usual activity by tourists is to book a trip online using TripAdvisor, Expedia, Kayak or Booking.com. These are basically group tours in which different companies pick you up from your hotel or a specific meetup point early in the morning and take you to all places with the guide on a van. This option does not suit budget travellers for the following reasons.

  • It is very expensive.
  • It is not flexible. For instance, if you are not interested in museums, you won’t have a choice but to go.
  • You miss a lot of vibes in the city that comes with walking in the streets and discovering small spots to cheer and spend time at.
So the best way to cover all the spots is to plan yourself a customized day. Put all the places you are interested in on your personal list to cover. Google Maps will be your best buddy. Start off by walking or going there by metro train etc in such a way that your farthest place should be your last place. This way you can save a lot of money after the day ends.

So first of all, open TripAdvisor. Then put the name of the city you are planning for. It will give you all the must-see attractions of the city in a list with complete detail. Choose your favourite ones according to your interest and the limited time you have. Try to cover all free visit sites if possible. Then put all the selected places in google maps and it will show where exactly each place is located. Then you can see where to go first and so on.

For historical places, you can book an audio guide at that place for as low as 2 USD that tells you the complete history. If you book a personal guide, it can go up to 15 USD which will be there for a limited time. In this plan, you will also have the option to skip a certain building or tower let's say that you do not want to enter to either save ticket price or you are not just interested. A win-win situation in both cases!

Important Note: Students all across the world enjoy some free or heavily discounted prices at many entrance places like museums. You just need to show your university card.
